The beautiful and scenic Lake Viking Property is located in historic Daviess County. Just 7 short miles away is the quaint
town of Gallatin, Missouri. Gallatin offers a full line grocery store, convienence stores, a town theater, several fine eating
establishments, a do it yourself center, several churches, video rental stores, day care centers, full service car wash, and
the historic Gallatin Square, Courthouse, and squirrel cage jail. Gallatin is well known to be of historic interest. On December
7, 1868 the infamous James Gang robbed the Gallatin Bank and made a getaway to the local town of Winston. If you want to take
a trip back in time then the Amish Community of Jamesport is a short jaunt down Highway 6 just 12 miles. Jamesport is full
of several Amish stores that offer handmade items as well as down home cooked meals in the downtown area. Be sure to watch
out for the horses and buggys that travel the roads. Lake Viking is located very close to Interstate 35 and a 20 minute drive
South to Cameron, Missouri. Lake Viking is also located approximatly 70 miles North of Kansas City, Missouri and 50 miles
East of St. Joseph, Missouri.
Lake Viking offers a variety of species of fish for the angler, a full service marina, yacht club, comfortable sandy beaches,
a lovely display of wildlife to include the Bald Eagle, and a very friendly security staff and fire department. Enjoy your
